Still heading South - reaching California

9 July 17

We stopped to explore the small town of Bandon, OR, which is known for its tourism and cranberry production.  The first thing we noticed was they have a lot of parking regulations and the first few spots we found prohibit RV’s from parking there. We ended up in a vacant lot and did not get ticketed. We enjoyed a stroll around town.

We continued south on 101 with many stops to enjoy the view.

After crossing into CA, we stopped in Smith River. We checked out the Salmon River RV Park. It was more like a trailer park with a few RV sites near the ocean. We decided to spend the night. Again, we had a nice ocean view to enjoy.

Your pictures are worth 1000 words and I can only imagine the vastness of the scenes in person. Brandon looked like a neat community...

Glad you didn't get a ticket 8n Brandon. Love your parking spot at kissing rock and the great beach pictures.

Is the Kissing Rock related to the Blarney Stone? ;c)

We always enjoy the Bandon area. And traveling on Hwy 1, even in a motor home, is worth every minute, with so much to see. I enjoyed your pics.
