Redwoods parks

10 July 17

We visited the state and federal Redwoods parks near Orick, CA.  Walked several trails and saw many large redwood trees.  We also saw several small groups of elk.

On our way to the next campground we stopped at a tourist trap called Trees of Mystery. It had some Paul Bunyan and other outdoor displays and a mystery tree trail that we passed on.  Inside was a Native American Museum and lots of things to buy.  Stayed at the Lone Mountain RV resort in Obrien, OR on route 199.

We missed seeing the Redwoods when we were out that way due to time constraints. Poor planning on our part or a grandchild arriving too soon... ;c)

The redwoods are such incredible trees along with the giant Sequoias. A person standing beside those trees dwarf out greatly.
To think that some of the giant Sequoias date back to the life of Christ...
Thanks for sharing such beauty and majesty!!

Your redwood pictures are fantastic. They really show the size and height which is hard to do. So glad both the federal and state governments are protecting them. Thanks for posting this. I loved seeing them.
