We have settled in to our new digs at Carrabelle RV Resort in Carrabelle Beach, FL. It has been raining most of our time here. This morning we watched one of my favorite shows “CBS Sunday Morning” and enjoyed the story of the inspiration to start a web site about awkward family pictures, which turned into a bestseller book. So being a bit bored, we have been looking back through our photos to find some that I am sure the web site would have loved.
While these pictures may not please our family and certainly do not show us in our best light always, it was a fun exercise and will certainly be kept in mind as I make pictures in the future. Since the show highlighted that the “best” of awkward pictures come during the Christmas season, we focused our search mostly on this occasion.
In short, we are sharing some of our boredom with you, in the form of some past awkward moments. Consider this a small gift in the form of what not to do this holiday season, as you record those special moments for posterity.

What a neat idea! Well, maybe not for some of the people in the photos. Hope your rain ends soon. It's cold and dreary in Central Florida and looks like it might rain.
It doesn't look like anyone is having any fun in that second one from the top. Guess I won't show up at your place for Christmas!

We were in the Carrabelle Beach area two weeks ago at Ho Hum RV Park. If you end up looking for a place to eat we enjoyed Two Al's in Carrabelle Beach-otherwise it's a trip to Appalachicola.
This really is a wonderful idea. Makes me want to bring out all my embarassing old pictures - braces and all. Well, maybe not quite...
