Maumee Bay State Park
The tragic loss of our blogland friends Bruce and Margie, who were killed by a suicidal driver, while taking a morning walk just outside of their RV Park, reminds us again of our uncertain time here. It is important to enjoy life every day as the next sunrise is never a certainty for any of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family.
We have spent a very pleasant 10 days at one our favorite campgrounds. Maumee Bay State Park is located on the southern shore of Lake Erie just east of Toledo, Ohio. We have been coming here for years and now that we no longer live in Ohio, it is a great place to stay while visiting with friends. This time we also managed to be here during an extended period of excellent weather. There are views of the lake, hiking trails to enjoy the fall colors, and wildlife.

Love your new top picture!
Beautiful pictures. I have put this park on my list of places to visit. We haven't stayed in Ohio yet, so this will be a good start.
Wonderful pictures a pretty place! Like Pidge, we have not yet been to Ohio, so we see there are lovely places there. Golly, every state has wonderful places, and we gotta go see 'em all! And yes, your header picture was gorgeous, well laid out, good color, and it is certainly timely. We have a great pumpkin picture also; maybe I'll move that to the top of our post before the month is over!
Yep, I like that header picture too:))
