Since we returned from our January cruise, we have
been enjoying spending some time around home.
One of the things we like to do is visit the local beach when the wind
and surf is up. It is always a reminder
of how powerful nature is.
At the end of January, our Mardi Gras parade takes
place out on Navarre Beach. This is our
second time and we took the motorhome so the grandkids would have a place to
hang out while waiting for the parade.
It worked out great. I think
Victoria is getting the idea about collecting the bead necklaces. If you like
parades, it was a lot of fun.
Earlier this month Victoria turned five and celebrated
with family and her friends. This a good
age for kids birthday parties-lots of fun and virtual no drama that is sure to
come by the teenage years. There may even be a few budding artists in this
group.
We are working on our travel plans for the year and
it looks like the motorhome will get plenty of use.

I love parades and birthday parties!
Love those waves. Five is a great age for fun times. Gotta enjoy them while you can.
We really enjoy watching local parades. Everyone is so excited. We enjoy seeing the local bands.
No drama is a good thing for sure. :)
I love being at the beach on stormy days. There's nothing like watching the waves thrash! And, you can get some great pictures too.
I like watching stormy seas from the beach. I seen too many from the other side... ;c)
I used to live a block from the ocean front in Virginia Beach and loved to walk down during a storm and watch the power of the sea. Great pictures with wonderful memories for me thanks! That is just a darling picture of the birthday girl at the end. If they would just stay age 5!!
Love walking the beach when the ocean is a-tumble.
Mardi Gras parades are so much fun with little kids around. We passed on the parades this time when we were in Mobile a couple of weeks ago. Jimmy and I also enjoy beach walking, esp when the wind and surf are up. A high surf warning is in effect on the Big Island of Hawaii, and that's where we are today, so we are enjoying!
