We have spent almost two weeks completely
disconnected from the electronic world.
We returned from a 11 day cruise to Central America and then a quick RV
rally. I admit to enjoying the lack of online information. I even avoided the news that was available
onboard the ship. It seems the world
continued on its crazy path without my having been informed of the progress or
lack thereof.
We have had a great time and managed to complete one
of my bucket list items of transiting the Panama Canal from the Atlantic to the
Pacific.
The voyage started and ended in Port Everglades, the
port for Ft Lauderdale, FL. This was a
very convenient way for us to make the
ship connection.
The great weather for our departure was a prelude
for the weather we enjoyed the entire trip.
We will be sharing this trip over the next few blog
posts.

Looks like you had a fun time, I'll be looking forward to the pictures.
What gorgeous photos. Excited to hear how your adventure went.
Great photos. We've spent time in Central America and at the Panama Canal but didn't do a cruise. It's nice to check off things on our bucket list.
My Aunt Happy loved doing the cruise through the Panama Canal. She probably went four or five times. I can hardly wait to see your pictures.
Welcome back to blogland.
Beautiful photos - can't wait to see more and hear about your trip.
Awesome, awesome pictures!!!! It's fantastic to see dreams realized such as this one.
Being without electronics can be good!:-)
Your photos of the CG boat are making think I retired too early.
Sounds like a great cruise, the Panama Canal is quite something to behold. I was fortunate on a TDY trip to explore the Mira Flores locks from underneath, to see how all the locks work, then into the control room.
From the balcony of the control room, I could have shaken the hand of a sailor on the bridge of a container ship that was passing thru the lock.
A lifetime special memory. :c)
PS: Welcome back to civilization!
So glad you are reconnected. Your photos are lovely, looks like a wonderful time, and your header is breathtaking!
Looking forward to hearing about your time "disconnected" from the world.
How lovely to be disconnected for such a good reason. A break from news is a good thing (in my books).
I look forward to hearing about your trip!
We spent two of the last three weeks off the grid too, you are right world is still weird.
