Photo shoot

Like a number of others, we have been suffering continuous rains for the last several days along with some high winds. Before these conditions arrived, we wanted to get some pictures of our daughter, Katie, and her husband, Dain. They have been married only a few months and they wanted some informal pictures. So, on one of the last nice days, we went back to the county farm park we visited on our last stop here. It was a nice day with mostly good lighting.

They were sufficiently happy with the results that they are making up some albums.
Their dogs Nova and Hemi enjoyed a nice walk in the park after the photo op was over.

Later, after I had loaded up the photos to the computer, Dain and Katie decided on which pictures would make the cut for the album. Halley jumped right in and provided her two cents worth.

Tomorrow, if the weather breaks as promised we will be heading south into Kentucky and hopefully see some improvement in the temperatures. Clearly winter is heading in this direction. The winter forecast for Ohio is bleak with a prediction of the worst winter in 100 years. That does not bode well for anyone, but those of us running south will at least fare a little better.

You did a great job! The pictures are great. They are a beautiful couple. We are in Gulf Shores, AL, and it was 39 this morning! No rain...just cold.

Nice job on the photos, Dad. I think today will be a good travel day for me. The winds and rain have finally quit. Hope you get the same.

What a great idea! Beautiful photos - they all looked like keepers to me! I've found that it also helps to have good looking subjects to take pictures of and you sure lucked out there!

Beautiful pictures of a lovely couple. Did you give them a discount because they're family?

Some years ago, b4 the CG, I lived in NJ. The weather forecast was for a bad winter. A friend of mine said that was wrong because he was a trapper of muskrats in the Meadowlands and if it was going to be a bad winter, the Mrats would grow heavy fur coats, and they had not. So he predicted a mild winter. We had one of the worst winters on record.

The next year I asked him what kind of winter we would be having based on the Mrat fur coats. He said he couldn't tell because they all froze to death the previous winter!

Wonderful job on the photography!!! And the subjects weren't too difficult to work with either!! Beautiful setting too!!!

Have you ever ordered prints from MPIX? We get ours from there... You might check them out! They are in eastern KS and our son that's a photographer worked there when he was in college. mpix.com
