Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a large park, 71397 acres, and is located along the south shore of Lake Superior. These sandstone structures have become world famous for their beauty. There is a lot of history and geology that can be discovered in this park, as well. The vast majority of the park can only be reached by foot or from the water.
We took a 2.5 hour boat tour from Munising, Michigan and saw about 14 miles of the park shoreline while being entertained by the guide. There are a lot of facts about this park, but for most of the visitors, it is about the beauty of the cliffs and the recreational activities that the park offers. The facts can be found at the web site below and hopefully some of the beauty will be evident in the pictures.
