Buffalo country
Before leaving the Cheyenne area, there were still a few things we wanted to do. We heard about a couple of ranches that had various activities including dining. We ended up at the Terry Bison Ranch and had a really good Buffalo burger lunch fresh from the herd on the ranch. After lunch we took a tour of the ranch including a close view of some of the three thousand buffalo they have on the ranch that had not yet been converted to a final product. It was a fun afternoon. For those with more time and inclination there is buffalo hunting and several choices on horseback riding.

On our last day in town, we drove the happy Jack road through many miles of grasslands and visited the Veduawoo recreation area which is known for its unusual granite rock formations. This had become a popular rock climbing area, as well as great for camping and hiking. Now it could be said that this is just another area of rocks- and we have seen a lot of rocks this trip and in our lives. These were still enjoyable and had differences from those we have seen before. We have added this place to visit again should we return to the area.
