Leaving Fort Benton on a short 80-mile drive through scenic
country side to our destination of Helena MT. This a wonderful drive along the Missouri
River.
Arriving in Helena, we boarded a jet boat for a cruise
on the Missouri River through the area known as the Gates of the Mountains.
Lewis and Clark floated along this section of the river and noted in their journals
the wonders of this amazing area with 1200 feet high limestone walls. We were equally impressed by its beauty.

We've taken that boat ride a couple of times and really enjoy the beautiful scenery.
