All settled in at the Rustic Wagon Campground

We admittedly left it a bit late to decide to head to Yellowstone next, so Anneke spent some time on the phone hunting for a place to stay. Clearly, planning on arriving on Friday of Labor Day weekend did not make it any easier.

She persevered and found a spot in West Yellowstone, MT. This was particularly important for our new team member, as it would help cut down on the amount of time she would be left alone in the coach.

After talking with the campground owner at length, we agreed to take a spot near the office that was not actually in the campground, as all those spots were reserved for the weekend. She assured us that it was a great site and was regularly used by folks staying for more than a few days.

So, I just thought I would share some pictures of our current spot at the Rustic Wagon RV campground. I can honestly say that we have never had a campsite quite like it-and we have stayed in a few unusual places in the past. Note the views, and our patio. All this, at just a bit more than the cost of a luxury resort campground. At least they got the name right-rustic.

In case you want to run right out and reserve this spot, I have included the web site.

At least you got a spot last minute on the Labor Day weekend, and that probably trumps some amenities. I don't think you will be lingering long on the patio though.

Oh my goodness....what a view! I guess the view of the area itself makes up for the campground view.

We love the Yellowstone area with all the gorgeous views and wildlife. There is just so much to see and do. Hope you guys have a great stay. :-)

Egad! You just never know what $50-75/night will buy you! :( Maybe you could take up the hobby of dumpster diving when you aren't seeing the sights at Yellowstone. :)

What a view indeed! ;0)

Enjoy Yellowstone even if you have to "rustically rough it" for a couple of days. =)
