Graduation Day

We have returned to the panhandle of Florida for our daughter-Heather’s graduation ceremony, where she received her Master’s in Education degree. It was a happy occasion. This now means that both Heather and Katie have higher degrees than both their mother and I. Heather’s third grade class and her fellow teachers had decorated her class room for the occasion and also provided a very high calorie cookie cake.

After the ceremony, a number of her classmates and our group headed to a local eatery for a celebratory meal.

The celebration more than made up for our troubles on the road during our trip south. After we had passed Birmingham, Al and turned onto I-65, there was a loud pop followed by hissing air. We quickly saw the results of this issue, as I could barely make the next relatively small hill. The engine just did not have any power. There were no warning lights and no indication on the panels of any problem. After pulling off the next exit, I called our dealer, Shafer RV in Delta, OH, where we purchased our coach and have it serviced and told them the symptoms. They advised it was most likely the turbocharger air supply line. After calling our on the road service advisor-Coach-Net, we were set up by them to visit a truck dealer relatively nearby. Long story short, we made it there and they repaired the air line and we were back on the road in just a few hours.

If the rain ever let up, we will be heading north again on Thursday.

I just wanted to stop by your blog and tell you thanks for visiting ours. I enjoy writing our blog which was originally started so our family could keep up with us, but we have had so many others join us. I always enjoy reading the comments that are left for us.

We have made so many friends over the past few years from folks that have dropped in on our blog. I hope you will stop back often.

Congratulations on your daughter's graduation and her accomplishments.

So glad to hear that your problem with the motor home was quickly resolved.

Again, nice to meet you!
