We finally have departed Las Vegas, but not before one last great sunset. We headed a short distance down the road to Pahrump, NV to look at one of those membership campgrounds. Actually, we are there to enjoy the free camping in exchange for a sales pitch. I must admit that we are already disappointed in Pahrump. If you read their official web site you expect to see a booming town with all the amenities. That is not the case. Lack of zoning rules and lots of junk everywhere leaves a poor impression on the first time visitor.
We hope to explore a few ghost towns and the Death Valley national park while we are here.
