Finally a few bird pictures

I certainly do not have the passion for or honestly that much interest in birds.  But since we decided to put up a Humming bird feeder we have had stored in various places for years, I thought I would at least try my hand at taking a few bird pictures.  I can never hope to have the knowledge or  interest in birds that fellow blogger Judy has, but at least it is a start. So below are a few of my efforts the last few days.

We have been getting another close up view of new house construction directly across the street from us.  They are building on the last two lots near us at the same time, so there is lots of things to see.  Once these are done, that should be the end of construction near us.

We are planning on leaving shortly for a few weeks in Georgia, but now we are having to watch the antics of the tropical storm Karen, which hopefully is going to continue its current trend of losing force and arrive with less than severe impact.

You got great pictures of your hummingbirds. None of mine ever turn out that good. Hope good ole Karen wimps out and you can make your trip down to Georgia.

You did a great job with the hummingbirds! Well, you did a great job with the surf and everything else too.

Great hummingbird shots.

I hope Karen doesn't keep you from coming up this way. Let me know when you arrive, so that we can get together.

I could watch a hummingbird for hours.

Saying a prayer that Karen just passes everyone right on by.

Love your pictures! And love the beach. Hope the storm leaves you all alone. Be safe.

Hummingbirds are the extent of my bird watching too.
Hope Karen fizzles out and doesn't ruin your trip.

Ha Ha! Before you know it, you'll be a junior bird nerd. ;)

I certainly do not have the passion for or honestly that much interest in birds. I'm the same, that said, your Hummingbird photos are really good. Nice job.

Those beach photos are terrific, I really like the new header one.

Sure hope this storm fizzles especially since so many services are already shutdown because of the 'shutdown'.

Good luck with Karen, hope she turns out to be a "No Blow". ;c)

I'm amazed at the hummers and how they migrate across the Gulf of Mexico. You wouldn't think such a little creature could survive that trip.

We enjoy watching them, we have two feeders up. I gave up trying to get a good picture of them, so I'll just steal your's... ;c)

From what I've heard on news, Karen turned away and isn't much of a threat. Good for you.

Last few years I've developed more of an interest in bird watching. Judy must have spread the bug around.

For a guy with little interest those sure are nice close ups of hummers. The clouds in the beach shots are beautiful too. Watching for the storm on the ocean front sounds like just what I'd do.

So hummingbirds aren't supposed to be blurry, mine are.
