Visit to the Netherlands

Anneke decided that after 3 years it was time to go visit her home country. Her sister lives in Rhenen along the Rhine river with a great view from the balcony.

Rhenen is surrounded by several quaint towns.  These towns are what most tourists think of as traditional Dutch villages.

The town of Buren is home to the Royal Military Police Museum and during her visit there was an art fair around the museum.

Luckily the  windmill was open for visitors and operating. They had their various kinds of flours on sale.

A young girl was very happy to pose in front of the pet store.

Nice to get home once and a while, looks like Anneke had a great time revisiting happy places.
Hopefully you didn't get into too much trouble without adult supervision... :cD

It's been 4 years since I was home. Should be going soon. But now it's summer and we are getting busy. The houses in your pics are reminding me of northern Germany. Much the same looks.

Love the pictures! Maybe someday we'll get to Europe!

We'll be spending a month in Anneke's homeland this summer. I'll need to touch base with you guys for some not-to-be-missed thoughts from her perspective.

Good for you. It's always fun to go back home. Home is always home. We've been there a couple times and loved the area. It's so beautiful. Have a great visit in those happy places.
