Boy meets girl

Our daughter Gretchen and grandson Aleister made the journey down from northern GA to see and get acquainted with Victoria. It was a great visit and hopefully these grandkids will one day be good friends. For now, they seemed to appreciate each other and that is a start.

Most of the time was spent visiting with the new addition, but Aleister also wanted to go to the beach and collect shells for his grandmother back in GA. He enjoyed the hunt for shells and certainly picked up enough to make his grandma happy. On the way was a nice park where he had some fun and spotted a few geese close to the walkway.

The weather here has become warm and sunny and thoughts have turned to yard work. I have approached this with some ambivalence, as one of the great things about being on the road is not having to take care of the yard. Maybe, this will make me long for a yard again-or not.

I hope they stay close as they grow up. My four kids are all close, and it's a wonder they didn't kill each other growing up. Now their children are so happy when they are together.

Those kids look so cute together. My four granddaughters have a great cousin relationship...it's a lot of fun. Forget the yard work!! We plan on not planting anything this year - we'll go see flowers at the park!

Victoria is certainly a very pretty little girl - sparkly eyes. Glad the other grandkids got to see her. Reading your posts make me miss our grandchildren.

I'm with you..."or not".

My kids are very close to their cousins, it's great to see that. Looks like your grandkids are off to a great start.

Your grandchildren are beautiful, or adorable as my wife would say, good to see them together at such a very young age.

I can't think of anything that would make me yearn for yard work again! :)

Joh says he loves our yard now that we are on the road. That's because wherever we are someone else is taking care of it!

seems to us that Anneke is of Dutch heritage & therefore has the green thumb, along with the love of gardening? that just leaves mowing the lawn to you? - corrie & dan

I think they will really hit it off together as Victoria gets a little older and Aleister will then be the big brother she doesn't have.

I used to love working in my garden, now I love looking at other peoples gardens, it's a lot less work and more fun!

Oh, your grandbabies are adorable. Victoria is going to be a heartbreaker. Actually both of them will. Bet you had a wonderful time hugging, kissing, and playing.
