We have continued our journey towards Colorado Springs, CO along Interstate 70. Soon we will be off this road that we have driven since Indianapolis, IN. We have now actually arrived in Colorado and are staying in the town of Seibert. It is a short walk to downtown, if that is the right word. This town seems to be only a step or two from becoming a ghost town. The campground has good amenities and a very friendly and helpful owner. They also provide free DVD’s. I suspect the reason for this is that there is absolutely nothing else to do here. The campground owner confided that she is concerned about the future of the town, as the population is aging and the high school graduates are looking for a way out of town. Currently there are 190 residents.
It is still better than Toyah, Texas, but moving in that direction.
We have stopped here for two nights, since it is an easy one day drive to Colorado Springs from here, where we have a reservation at the Air Force Academy campground starting on Sunday.

Hoi Anneke en Chuck, nog steeds volg ik jullie reizen. Heerlijk om te lezen en foto's te kijken.
After over five years of full timing in our 06 Itasca Meridian, we have bought a home and traded the Meridian for a 2012 Winnebago View for our anytime travel adventures.
